Ed Miliband is helping out with Manchester’s clean-up following the rioting and looting in the city last night.
The Labour party leader is joining in with a brush, sweeping up debris on Market Street – one of the areas worse hit yesterday.
He posed for photographs with children and spoke to those helping out in sweeping up glass from broken shop windows.

He looks creepy and sounds like a robot. I've never heard him speak spontaneously, he always just reads out his PR minders' text without any kind of passion or genuine interest
Don't these politicians have a more pressing job to do?
Don't pose for photos - you don't have time for a photo op. Let people get on with sweeping up, they don't have the authority to do anything more. Parliament do - so stop sidestepping what needs to be done, and toughen up. Now.
