Manchester's Cornerhouse is getting in the festive spirit by showing arguably the greatest Christmas movie of all time - It's A Wonderful Life.
The 1946 hit is easily one of the greatest and most touching films of all time, guaranteed to take you on an emotional roller-coaster and leave you with a warm glowing feeling inside.
The ultimate feel good, Yuletide favourite, was directed by Oscar-winning director Frank Capra, and stars Hollywood legend James Stewart who plays George Bailey, a compassionate but despairingly frustrated businessman who considers suicide.
George receives a visit from Clarence, an angel, who stops him from jumping into a freezing river on Christmas Eve. The pair travel together through moments in George’s life to show him what life would have been like if he never existed.
According to a new poll for the Radio Times, It's a Wonderful Life is the UK's favourite Christmas movie, receiving 17.83% of the votes.

Not only that, he film has received a very impressive rating of 8.7 on the the International Movie Database and the Guardian described it as 'a genuine American classic'.
In 2006 it was ranked as the most inspirational film of all time by the prestigious American Film Institute.
