ON HIS WAY: United secure Poland star

Polish star striker Robert Lewandowski is on his way to Manchester United after Euro 2012, according to his national team coach.

Poland coach Franciszek Smuda suggested in his latest press conference ahead of tonight’s opening game against Greece that the Dortmund striker will be moving to Old Trafford this summer.

“In my opinion, in a moment they will be gone from Borussia,” Smuda said. “’Lewy’ is going to Manchester United, Kuba also somewhere in England, Piszczek to Real Madrid.”

The Dortmund striker enjoyed a prolific season as his 30 goals fired his side to the Bundesliga title.

“They have a goal and they want to grow. I base the squad on them,” he said.
