Free live music from Manchester venues mark end of series of nationwide city events

By Will De Nardo, Music Correspondent

Night and Day and Band on the Wall are joining forces to host a free night of live music featuring Manchester hip hop group Kid British and the Virginmary’s to mark the end of Miller Genuine Draft’s series of national events: ‘It’s Miller Time’.

The closing party, that has nearly sold out, will take place on Thursday, kicking off at Night and Day with North West rap rockers: Faith in Fools, up and coming Urban artist A Me B and headliners Kid British from 7pm.

The finale event will then continue round the corner at Band on the Wall with a performance from The Vriginmarys, where access will be granted with the same ticket.

Night and Day promoter, Jonny Walsh said: “It should be a fantastic event, we’ve nearly allocated all the tickets, with only a few now available on the door.

“Obviously it’s a big event so it’s great for the venue, we’re more than happy to be hosting it.”

‘It’s Miller Time’ is a nationwide event from beer company Miller Genuine Draft, that has been using social media to change the way users have nights out.

By logging into a smart phone app or Facebook, users can plot their nights out based on where friends and other people around them  are going, they can then ‘check-in’ at these locations and share them with others allowing participating venues to ‘trend’.

There is also a random bar generator that suggests a random venue to users who are unsure where they want to head to.

Remaining tickets will be available from Night and Day on the night.
