Here is a look at how the political landscape stands after the night's results.
It only takes a glance to see that it has been a good night for Labour.
Lib Dem 'wipe-out' or not, you decide, but it clearly didn't go well, as was expected by many.

We remain in wait for the Ramsbottom council results. After three recounts a winner could still not be announced. The result is expected at around 13:00 tomorrow.
