Manchester legends The Charlatans are readying themselves to join an all-star cast of talent in this year’s The Magic Loungeabout festival.
The Britpop rockers are joining disco favourites CHIC, York-born Benjamin Francis Leftwich and BBC 6 Music’s Stuart Maconie for the family-friendly three-day event in North Yorkshire from July 27.
Back to Basics’ creator Dave Beer will headline an prestigious cast of DJs for the festival’s third year with an inspiring programme of music and arts planned.
A spokesman for The Magic Loungeabout’s said: “We return for our third year with three headliners and an increasingly enticing programme of music and arts. A proper boutique festival where you get the chance to see arena filling acts in an intimate setting.
“Whether its big and breaking artists on the main stage, top DJ’s in the superclub, fringe theatre in the forest or the inspiring spoken word tent, where you now get the chance to have your say.
“We were short listed for best new festival in 2008 and best grass roots festival in 2011. We consider ourselves to be one of the most imaginative festivals in the north and the ultimate escape to the country for those in the know.”
Full weekend camping tickets cost £112 and you can find further information at www.themagicloungeabout.net.
