'Little Italy' sees youngsters race ahead as part of Monarch Airlines expansion from Manchester Airport to Verona, Milan & Venice

Youngsters raced ahead at Manchester Airport’s ‘Little Italy’ driving track as part of Monarch Airline’s new intercontinental routes launch over the weekend.

Iconic world landmarks such as the Collosseum in Rome, the Opera House in Verona and Milan shops were recreated in a 32 square metre racetrack for children to test their skills with remote controlled mini cars.

The expansion will see Monarch fly to historic cities of Milan, Rome, Venice and Verona from Manchester.

The managing director of Monarch Airlines, Kevin George said: “Monarch Airlines is now firmly focused on expanding its scheduled network and we are delighted to be adding the new Italian routes to our extensive range of leisure destinations across Europe.”

The new routes build upon Monarch’s growth strategy set out last year to focus on expanding its scheduled services to new leisure destinations across Europe.
