VIDEO: Counting continues at Rochdale City Hall after power cut halts council election

Rochdale City Hall are resuming the voting count after a power cut halted the local election – rumours are that voting will not continue if fault is not permanently fixed.

Council leader Colin Lambert joked: "This is the only cut I didn't announce!"

Councillor Ian Duckworth joked to MM reporters about the current power cut at Rochdale City Hall during the count: "This is our policy really – to keep you all in the dark."
