Young Manchester United star Ryan Tunnicliffe believes the departure of Ravel Morrison and Paul Pogba may help him achieve his childhood dream of first-team regular.
The 20-year-old opened the scoring in Manchester United XI's 6-2 win at Market Drayton on Wednesday.
After making his senior debut on the DHL tour, the midfielder is hoping that room in the ranks will work in his favour next season.
He told Inside United: “With them gone, it does open it up for me in a way but, obviously, I was close to them. We were midfield partners and good friends.
“I was sad to see Paul go and I do think he was a great player and could have made it here as well. But another door opens and it goes both ways."
With also Ji-sung Park and Darron Gibson leaving, Tunnicliffe admitted that ‘there are not so many people’.
