Dédé has a selection of fine French cheeses starting at just £1, and Bamba’s jewellery stall has continental trinkets to catch every eye.
This weekend, MM highly recommends a visit to the French market on St Anne’s Square, which opened yesterday.

In its first year and hoping for a repeat visit, the French market offers crepes, cheeses and pastries, as well arts and crafts straight from our cross-channel cousins.
If you have a tenner to spare and a desire for a dash of the European this weekend, embrace the Gallic treats on offer at Manchester’s inaugural French Market.
The French market is open from 10am-6pm, but you better hurry as the last day is Sunday!
