TICKETS: Canal-St launch new partnership

By Dean Wilkins

Manchester’s LGBT community and beyond can get instant access to all the latest shows and events as Canal-St.co.uk have teamed up with Quaytickets.

The news comes just as KT Tunstall is announced today to headline May’s LadyRock Festival, the North West’s first women’s only festival.

Quaytickets are owned by The Lowry Centre Trust and offer admission sales for thousands of music, comedy, theatre, arts, cinema and festivals across Manchester each year.

From today, the Canal Street website will allow you to buy tickets for upcoming events, with everything from LadyBoys from Bangkok and Jimmy Carr available.

Nick Coulthurst of the CanalStreet.co.uk team said: “We’re joining with partners Quaytickets, who work with many theatres, concert halls and city events, such as The Royal Exchange, O2 Apollo Manchester, The Lowry, to offer our LGBT community the chance to buy tickets before they sell out!

“We used to direct our audience to the venue themselves; however now they’re able to choose whatever event they fancy and secure tickets with us. It’s never been done before, we’ve never been able to bring all these different kinds of events to the site and from our point of view, it ties in beautifully.”

You can buy tickets by vising the Canal Street website.
